All Women Build

In late 2005 a group of women from Ridgecrest decided to use all women to build a house for Habitat for Humanity IWV. By early 2006 they were on a path to that end. Home Depot provided training in basic house construction. A lot was identified for the build at Iowa St. The only other volunteers were out of town Care-a-Vanners from Alaska, Bishop, and many other locations. What a job they did! For more information, visit the local web page for Care-a-Vanners or visit the RV-Care-a-Vanners web site. To learn more about this Habitat home, visit Iowa St.
