Habitat House at 935 Oregon

House Under Construction

Construction started May 2013 with certificate for occupancy March 2014. New building requirements for fire sprinklers, additional inspections, additional tests, and additional street work created new challanges. Subcontractors and the Ridgecrest Building Department staff were understanding and helpful. We owe thanks to Bill Corley and his crew for truss rolling and drywall. Thanks Mark Nazack and the Burroughs High School football team for trenching, grading, and drywall fastening. The Burroughs High School Habitat for Humanity Club provided labor and donations including an $800 generator. Air Force volunteers assisted with finish carpentry. Without these groups outside of our regular volunteers, both the cost and time to complete the home would have been higher and much longer. Thanks to the great folks from local churches and elsewhere for lots of good food and moral support.
